A Real Mammoth Task

A Real Mammoth Task

I shouldn’t have been thinking of work on my vacation. After all, it was a beautiful day in California, and we were hiking in the Sierra Mountains.

We took a gondola to the top of the ski area and walked down. The view was extraordinary—mountains, blue sky, and big green fir trees surrounded us. We stopped a couple times for a short rest.

But after nearly four hours of trekking downhill, I was really tired. Then it hit me. We were on Mammoth Mountain. It was a Mammoth task to get to the bottom.

…And we have a Mammoth task in front of us to create a better future.

It won’t be easy, but so much more is possible with the right mindset.

Focus your energy on what matters to you, look for options, think about how you can get involved, and then get going. One step at a time.

That’s what it’ll take!

P.S. Back to vacation mode.
